WOYWW 193

WOYWW 193

Well you have to get up pretty early to among the first 100 entries at StampingGround. I got up at 6 am and there are 100 entries already. Julia's desk shows several projects in the making. I'm like that too...I must leave things out...in my line of vision so I complete them. If I tidy up and put them away...it might be months before I discover them again. Can you relate to that?

I sketched this idea when I woke up this morning while it was still on my mind. I love to layer cuts and feature negative cuts. My SIL "Rose" is recovering from shoulder surgery, so this will go to her. When I try to say "shoulder surgery" my tongue gets twisted and it sounds like soldier surgery. HeHe!

You might notice the white on white foliage card.  I designed that after seeing this on Pinterest. Created by Amy Wanford. She used a die...I created mine using SCAL. The basic shape library offers so many possibilities. I found a simple leaf shape and sized and welded them together.

The blue hydrangea and the large rose are incomplete and waiting for a sentiment. Stop back again and you'll see the finished project.

I'm doing my best to keep this short, so I'll sign off and go hopping around to see what your desk looks like.

Be well and craft on! ~ Carole

  8. Both cards are sooooo pretty. Can't wait to see more. A friend and family member of mine are recouping from shoulder surgery...can be quite painful and then there is the PT. At the end, they will all be happy with the end results....no more pain and an arm and shoulder they can use once again. Yep...saying those words are a mouthful...haha

  12. Hi Carole,

All your cards look great! Physical therapy is a big part of the recovery from soldier (oops) shoulder surgery. I wish her well.

  16. Hello Carole, I'm here late enough that I've seen your finished Rose card, it's a bit different to your cutout but I really like it. I can only work on one project at a time, if I have too many things on the go nothing gets finished! The only exception is if something needs drying time, I might prepare another card, but I can't really get into it until the other one is finished! Yes, I was very lucky to win all those flowers, I'm very grateful. And the socks are for me! My first patterned pair. I'm also trying to finish a hat for my husband too!

    Hugs
