Pretty Purses Plus More

Pretty Purses

I had so much fun creating little purses yesterday that I wanted to make some more today. One is the same, another one is the same shape but I used black velvet paper, and the third is a new design. For the sentiment, I thought about "grab your bag ...there's a sale!" but I left it plain for now. I added the  chevrons cut in silver, it compliments the gray and white background nicely.

I bought this SU flower die on sale a few months ago and have just now got around to using it. I think I like it as much as my daisy die.  The pinterest inspired design is simple and delightful so I made one in three different colors.

For this green one I used a lovely green sheer ribbon taped to a piece of green card stock, then trimmed it with this golden scalloped lace.

Using Tim Holtz  "peeled paint"  distress ink I sponged the centers of the die cut flowers, punched a hole and added the yellow brad. Two of the flowers are attached with dimensional squares and the other one with a glue dot. The leaves punched with the SU two step bird, Happy Birthday stamped above the ribbon and a tiny butterfly to complete.

For the blue one I used a gross grain blue ribbon edged with the same golden scalloped lace. This time I used "broken china" distress ink and inked the edges as well.

For the purple I used ZIG Textile Marker "violet" to ink the edges, for the sentiment and the centers of the flowers. I used fabric tac to adhere the white lace gathered in a ruffle as I edged the purple satin ribbon.

When a design comes together so nicely it easy to make multiples in different colors, cause you know I can't do the exact same card twice. Haha;)

  3. Just got the opportunity to view your posts.. Wow is all I can say. You have a very artistic eye and even though some are cased (as we all do). They are each unique to your style. Love the purple flowered card the best. I will have to find that flower die or find it on a cricut cartridge. Thanks for sharing your talents.
