WOYWW # 256

I'm back to snooping on desker's playing along with Ms. Julia at the Stamping GroundCome join the fun and see what other crafty peeps have on their desks. And perhaps you'll join in the ATC swap celebrating 5 years...read all about that here.

Here's my new MS crafting station I bought at a drastically reduced price. I was enjoying the precision cut when the cutting assembly sprang apart. The piece that flew across the room remains lost. I've contacted the manufacturer and I'm awaiting a response. I really like the light box for tracing and embossing, and cutting on glass is so accurate and clean.

I've been working on a wedding card for a friend (top pic left corner) and this thank you card to the manager of the S F Country Club, for his help in making our 100th Anniversary a success. You can read about that here. I mimicked their logo to make it extra special.

Another friend asked me to make a card for her Flyer's loving 80 year old husband. She swears the TV only shows Flyers games and he's growing roots in his chair.

Here's the inside with a pop up TV and all his gear.

A side view with the Flyers playing on screen. That was fun.

I've been experiencing computer problems...alerts and warning about high CPU usage????but I'm learning a lot about defrag... disk clean... event logs...registry clean up and everything else that isn't helping. I have no sound and 5,000 + errors and warnings. What to do? I have saved all important data and pictures to a flash drive in the event of a crash. Now I need to find an affordable tech to fix the problems. Wish me luck.

Well I'll be checking on the deskers with my second digit number and everyone else that I have time for...as well as all who visit and comment here. Happy trails.

Be well Carole

  1. Hi Carole, and welcome to my blog for your first visit! Nice of you to pop by. Yes, I have a fantastic creative space - we moved to this house in Sept. and had the builders in for 6 months before the move, and I had one bedroom converted to a studio all of my own design! For the first time I have a space that really works for me, and I simply adore being in here, as you can imagine. I am intending to do a video tour of it one day, and keep promising I'll do it when the room is tidy, but that will never happen!!

Your desk looks a hive of industry with all the lovely cards. The crafting station looks amazing - I haven't seen anything like that before. I hope the manufacturers can sort out the problem for you. It looks very multi-functional, and a light box is always useful - it's something on my wish list!

    Happy WOYWW,

  4. I've seen those cutting stations on HSN, and wondered how well they really work. So you like cutting on glass? Will it dull the cutting blade? I really am interested in your opinion.

    LOVE the hockey card !

Thanks for the early visit this week.

  5. I have had my eye on that Martha Stewart crafting station! Did you use a 40% coupon possibly? I feel for you though that it did that--such a pain! Martha wouldn't like that at all! Well it's funny you noticed Wilma Flintstone. When I was little, she was my homemaking idol. So I saw that book at a flea market for about ten cents and had to have it! I don't really know what I plan to do with it yet. Thanks so much for visit me! Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #63

  7. This is a treasure of a card. That popup TV will surely knock him over. Great job.

Before spending the money on a tech. run your anti-virus. The errors tell me you need to do that. If that does not work, then use an online virus scanner just in case your computer based one has been disabled. Kasperski and Panda are good and reliable. Bloggers are very susceptible to viruses. This is one of the warning signs.

    Blessings

  24. I was just going to ask how you liked your new crafting station when I read that it fell apart...sad. Hopefully the manufacturer will make it right.

With all the pieces and parts of the wedding card on your desk, I can't wait to see the finished product! All your other cards are adorable!

Sounds like your computer might have a virus? I hope all goes well with it.
