Camellia's Springs Beautiful Bounty & Thrift shop treasures.

Oh so lush and colorful, these beautiful camellia's arranged easily in these thrift store treasures. Knowing the woody branches, heavy buds  and large blooms  would require support and balance I was delighted to find these long narrow vases. $5.00 for all 3.
All the members attending The Women's Club of Royersford April luncheon appreciated the beauty of these lovely pink camellia's, many leaving with a sprig in hand.

Below you'll see the other bargain I came home with.

I love to re-purpose items. Learning to look at found items from a different perspective has served me well over the years. I've been in search for ideas to display and sell my cards. I came across this wooden object...not sure it's original purpose...but I saw a perfect display...3 layers with 15 slats, allows room for separation, but has visual space for viewing without removing.. $2.00...SOLD. The 3 layers fold flat and when open permits me to place 45 cards in a small space. Free standing or hung on the wall at eye level. Bingo!

I plan on visiting the shop that is consigning my cards and offer this display... if they have wall or counter space available.

I want to use this Prim Poppy die on several different colors too! I swoon every time I see it. I have it inlaid in the navy base, very clean and simple. I think I'll make a gift set using this die. The simplicity makes it perfect for many occasions. I'll stamp different sentiments to be  included, along with some glue dots for placement.

I've heat embossed several of these butterflies to have readily available for a finishing touch. Before I discard scraps I punch these tiny flowers and leaves to have on hand to make bouquets or sprays. Some days I just like to do several die cuts gluing two layers together for deeper dimension. Some days I love to fussy cut different elements or stamped images.

Enjoy your day, find some joy in what ever you're doing and share.
Be well~ Carole

  1. What a fabulous find for your beautiful camellias!
I love the cards you showed too. The lovely tulip card reminds me that I too have this die but haven't used it yet, so you have inspired me to root it out. I love the background embossing and gorgeous butterfly on your second card. Great work.

  2. What a bargain and find. The card hold looks like a fun modern cd case holder...lucky duck you are. Yes, don't you just love that die cut! It can go with just about anything for a little extra touch...elegant, sweet, prissy, etc.

  3. Speaking about these great flowers, I can't but mention the cosmetic brand done from these natural elements - https://www.alyaka.com/brands/kahina-giving-beauty/. Only on checking this blog, I have found why these cosmetics smells so pleasantly. Have you added it or anything like this to your one?
