WOYWW 187

WOYWW:187

This is a quick and fun place to snoop on other crafters.
Julia Dunnit hosts this challenge so check it out and snoop around.

What you see on my work space is some craft supplies I found at the local thrift store today and some 20 gauge wire and tools. Do you see the wire stick figure? I'm planning on creating a sculpture of sorts with the wire base and paper mache. Be sure to stop back and see what develops.

I always end the year cleaning out closets, gathering clothes, unused housewares and misc items to contribute to the local thrift store, thus allowing room for new stuff to enter. After unloading my contribution I went in to look around, straight to the craft corner where I found some fun papers to cut out and use to embellish cards or scrapbooks.

Below is the gold card stock found on gift packaging. I recycled it by die cutting little elements to have on hand for embellishments.

That's it. Happy New Year... Happy Crafting... Happy Snooping!

  3. I really like the way you have done the stick figure, never thought to do that with wire and clever you if you can cover it with paper mache too. Sounds like you are an 'out with the old and in with the new' kind of gal. Happy New Year and Happy WOYWW, Anne x #7

  5. Well I do often save papers and nice bits....but I rarely get to using them, actually cutting them into shapes and having them on hand would help.....hmmmm. Have fun sculpting!

  8. Well, I for one, can't wait to see what you create. Oh Gosh....I dare not get into another crafty hobby...please don't get me excited. My goal for part of the day is that 1/16 of my craft room rubber stamp area) and get rid of. I will put them in a box for later, scan a picture and sell on my post in February or donate what is left. Some one is going to love these stamps like I did when I first got them...haha Looking at your desk was really fun.

  11. You are so organized. Looks like you got some nice tools, too. You hit the jackpot with those needle nose pliers. It'll be interesting to see what becomes of your wire man. Happy creating!
