What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday # 259

Curious? Here's a Clue..
One week away from the 5th anniversary ATC swap...find out about that here:

I was playing among the stars when the mailman arrived...smiley face....happy mail...from California. Krisha. After admiring her newly purchased word dies last week, Krisha gifted this beautiful card...pictured below

packed with many little & large die cuts

Thank you Krisha - she even posted a link to my blog on her blog...what a pal...what a gal! She also used some nice study sturdy shiny card stock I can't wait to use them. Mean while (sorry for the glare) I had some nice shiny card stock too.

Tuesday morning...looking for some inspiration I found this cool computer card on Pinterest. Perfect.  I needed to make a thank you card. I did this using the basic shapes library in SCAL and cutting it with my cricut

You see my friend's adult son is a computer genius...misspelled gen...i...ous 'cause there's no "O" in genius. Anyway Ken helped download new drivers remotely...so now I have sound...hip hip hooray!

As he controlled my PC, I watched and learned ...he explained some things as he cleaned out unnecessary stuff. Here's the lap top card with his dog's pic as a screen saver. So I want to thank Kenny and though he claims I don't "O" him I'd like to offer a gift...a treat...something special...'cause I "O" him big time.

Inspiration is everywhere and I'm so grateful.  I'll be out and about looking at the creative desks in the UK and state side.

I'll be happy to hear what you have to say or answer any questions...just leave a comment and I'll return the visit. I'm trying to keep this short...so be well ~ Carole

  7. Happy mail indeed - how lovely of Krisha to send you such gorgeousness!
And as much as I'm no technophobe, the idea of remotely controlling a computer is like science fiction to me...scary!!

  9. What a gorgeous package to arrive in the post, Carole! Lovely things on your desk altogether this week - the computer card is great! A great "man" choice, too.

Thanks for your visit and your nice comment. As far as getting the pens to work again, my internet searches didn't reveal any tips for that - most people just chucked the pens away, but I shall think about dipping them into different types of solvents and see if that works, and meanwhile I shall go on with the Faber-Castell ones which for some reason don't seem to suffer from the same problem.

    Happy WOYWW,

  24. SO sorry it has taken me this long to reply to your lovely Get Well message on my blog last week ... took me a while to bounce back but managed to get to the WOYWW crop and then have a couple of days away in the beautiful Wiltshire countryside before heading home. It was lovely having you visit and can't wait to see more of your wonderful crafting. Love Debbie #54 xXx
