WOYWW # 228

WOYWW #228   Come join the fun...

We bought a collection of 3 large scented candles from Costco...beautifully packaged with a large acetate box housing the glass tub candles above three gift boxes. We wanted the candles for our personal use...but I couldn't waste the packaging...the boxes are quality card stock or chip board or what ever you want to call it...metallic and textured I couldn't wait to break it down and use it for die cuts.

The photos do not show the quality and the crisp cuts from the dies...but in real life the cuts are fantastic. I look forward to finding the perfect way to use these fun cuts...positive and negative.

Recycling...upcycling...reusing...what ever you call it....it fun for free...

Up next is pictures of my on going intention of giving roses to community workers....acknowledging the work they do that offers a service we take advantage of daily.
The cashiers...the postal workers...the trash disposal workers....the volunteers...the cashiers at WAWA...they do a job that makes are life easier...faster...and so convenient. So a big THANK YOU to all the workers that make are life easy...thank you  for all you do..

A big thank you to all that take the time to leave a comment...MAWAAA...that's like a big kiss. Be well my friend and know that who you are makes a BIG difference in the lives of so many people...so be who you are...and share what you love.~Carole

  1. Carole you rock! Sometimes I think about the packaging but never can think of what to use it for and just toss it. I will be sure to tell my husband you are the one to talk to when I start adding packaging to my ever overflowing craft room!! Just kidding!

I love the flowers you made to give to service people. That's a very kind thing to do.

    Have a blessed day!

  6. Those roses are beautiful, you are so right that we don't acknowledge all those who help & make our life easier every day. A lovely gesture. Love the die cuts, by the way. A true crafter- everything gets looked at with the' can I use that?' eye, lol. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #29 xx

  7. Wow! You're going to make some great things with those die-cuts! This kind of thing always give me such a boost - I love to recycle! It's so lovely that you keep on with the Community workers' roses! I think that kind of sharing is just fantastic! Yes, my son's life is lacking in joy at the moment due to the mean old depression! I have every hope we will find a way out of it, though. Thanks for the visit! Always a ray of sunshine to have you around! Julie Ann xx #45

  17. That is a great looking box. How nice that you thought outside the box and saw potential for making fancy looking die cuts. I'm also impressed that you did it right away. If it were me that box would have to sit around for 6 months or so...!

  18. Thank you for your visit this week, Carole. I love the way you dived on that packaging. I have had to bin a lot of possible stuff, just because I am sinking under heaps of "stuff". I am not very good at organising. I am glad you liked Ralph McTell. He comes over as a really lovely man, and obviously cares. Many of his songs reflect that. He spent ages talking to everyone individually after the show. xx Maggie #4

  19. Clever, clever you, Carole! You are a big inspiration for me with your upcycling and now I take a second look at packaging before I just chuck it in the recyle bin! The candle boxes look like they made a ton of shimmery goodness!

Blessings come back to you when you give like you are with your exquisite blooms. I love the addition of the clear bling to look like drops of dew!! Hugs, Darnell (Happy Belated WOYWW!)
