GIFT CARD TAGS

I'm having so much fun working with the candle gift box I broke down.
See previous post here. The first tag has 3 wooden leaves that were on a gift bottle of MACALLAN Amber Liqueur. A gift for Mr. Bill from Corina for his recent birthday.

There's a dream catcher charm on the arrow...bits and pieces of foil and fur.  I seemed to have spilled too much gold dust on the black but I still like it.

The top hat, monocle and mustache I hand cut from the  box card stock. I just bought the film strip and camera washi tape and that's what inspired this tag.

I gathered many die cuts and other elements I've cut over time and just went crazy making tag collages. pulling out pearls and ribbons and what ever else caught my eye.

I had about 5 tags layered with different embellishments not yet attached just waiting to be assembled...and as I continued to search through my little treasures the perfect piece would call to me. They sort of created themselves.

It all started with the remote control parts and looking through all the cuts I've made and put in categories.  Look closely at the tag with the pen and phone....I used a spring from a pen...there are jewels, beads and buttons. The tag below features a clock using the tiny hands from a broken watch I took apart.

The background on the tag with the ship and anchor was a technique of inking an embossing folder. So cool.

The back ground pearly white paper was scored and I hand stitched the beads....It's been sitting in an clear bag with other papers with weaving... beading... or textured and embossed....just waiting to be used in a special way.

I don't consider the tags complete until I add a ribbon and the photo corner insert on the back. A gift card could easily be slipped inside with a hand written note.

A big thank you to all that take the time to leave a comment...MAWAAA...that's like a big kiss.

Be well my friend and know that who you are makes a BIG difference in the lives of so many people...so be who you are...and share what you love.~Carole

  3. Carole, these tags made my jaw drop! Have you done an ATC Swap before? You really rock these little creations and there is a whole world of ATC swappers out there ... What you've done with your upcycling in creating these tags could be taught in a class!! Hugs, Darnell
