91 is 16 up-side down

I love everything that's old, old friends,  old times, old music, old manners, old books, old wine.  I hope Thelma at 91 will forgive me for suggesting that she's old. But seriously don't you just love old movies, and history and everything  suggesting days gone by. Old is a good thing.

I love the simplicity of this card...thoroughly modern art deco and jazzy with all that razzle dazzle silver and gold.

Up next is a glamorous 3 tiered cake to celebrate.  I used bird' cards cutting file. I can't even begin to imagine all the profound changes that Thelma has experienced. Automobiles and televisions for starters. She is a legend I do say.

Tomorrow I will begin creating birthday cards for my daughter Corina- the yoga teacher and for my DIL Sandy - the care giving nurse in charge of case management.

That's all for now, thanks for your visit.
Be well~Carole

  1. I agree with you, Carole! Why our culture has a bad connotation with "old" when it comes to people has always been something that baffles me! Old Thelma is blessed in so many ways, not the least of which is that you are a good and appreciative friend who makes her stunning creations to celebrate this milestone!! Happy Birthday to her!!

  2. This card is really "stylin'"!!! The shiny paper was perfect. It is a gorgeous card. And, Thelma will wow over it!
