What On Your Workdesk Wednesday #245

If you want to play along that's the link with instruction included.

Since the great clean up I've been more inclined to keep things tidy. But here's what I'm sharing. I really like the new Xyron...the blue thing next to the Cuttlebug. I was looking to replace the adhesive in my old one and discovered this. Two swipes and the card base is covered. I like the tombow runner for smaller areas...and glossy accents is always on hand as my go to glue. The two sizzix dies are ancient...yet used often, even though I could cut a dozen with my Cricut.

The piano key card is for a "BOLD" challenge and will be featured in my next post. You're invited to stop back...anytime - to see what I'm playing with.

Keeping this post concise, cause I'm on the spy. What's on your desk? I'll be right over. Be well and thanks for visiting. Leave a comment and I'll return the favor. ~ Carole

  4. Hi Carole,
Thanks for stopping by this week.
I am very interested in your new Xyron toy. I have an ancient one that is 12" wide, but the cartridges have gotten soooooo pricy I don't use it anymore. Really like the size of this. Where did you get it?

I also have a large box of those old dies, and I was getting ready to sell them but I find that I still get them out form time to time, even though I have a Cricut.

LOVE the card with the piano keys on it, super cute!

  6. Thanks for visiting me today. Love your gadgets! I have an old Xyron we used to make magnets. And I use a Big Shot I just got a few months ago. Love that thing! Well, I live in the Ozarks, and we have snow on the ground! But I have long "greenhouse" sunporch where I start all my seeds in February, so that the tomato plants and things will be hearty starts by the time I plant them in the garden in May. Happy WOYWW! 9. See! I'm not the only one who has discovered that after a big clean out it is easier to keep the desk tidy. It certainly means you can drop everything and go play immediately and that's nice. It seems you have having a fun time with the old Sizzix dies and cards. Judy #82

  11. Oh I have one of those tape runners in the drawer and don't use it much at all, if ever. Such cool gadgets on the desk and thanks for visiting me.

  16. A long time ago, I bought a Xyron 5 1/2". It came in a kit, so I decided to use the magnet roll. When I tried to replace the regular roll back, it wouldn't go back in. I've never used it since. I hope your new one turns out much better than mine did. It looks quite attractive, at least.

Thanks for visiting me for the first time. It's my first time at your place, too. I'll have a quick look around, now. Happy WOYWW from #1.

  19. Hi Carole,

Yep, I imagine once I find a place for everything then it will be much easier for me to keep my work area clean. At least that is my goal.

I enjoy using my Cuttlebug. I haven't collected a lot of dies but I have some great embossing folders.

Thanks for stopping by my place already!
    Happy WOYWW

  20. Hi Carole, I have that 4 hearts die too, and use it loads. Great for cutting out of chipboard/thick card the triple embossing. I also have the extra large single heart they did. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #43 xx
