What a fun sketch designed by Carole Burrage.
I found some free vintage papers from Far Far Hill that I wanted to work with. After I downloaded and printed them I cut the 4 rectangles and inked the edges.
Attached them to a 4.25" X 5.50" base card, layered with lavender.
I used scraps of purple for the scalloped edge and the center rectangle base. Attached to that another layer of the vintage print with MS stick on flowers, the sentiment flag and a little lace. I used a purple sharpie to color the 3 pearls that complete this card.
This card came together so easy. I love the soft vintage feel perfect for a friend I haven't seen in awhile. As I was looking for the floral embellishments I came across some parchment elements I made
some time ago.
I had tried heat embossing a stamped image on the parchment but some parts got messed up... that's why I put them aside. As I was looking at them I decided to cut out the embossed flowers, I laid them on some navy card stock and that is how this second card came together. I'm not sure where I could put a sentiment...but that's okay. I'll keep it on hand perhaps use it for a thanks you, thinking of you or a sympathy card.

ReplyDeleteI did really like your card as well....so many beautiful papers out there for downloading....I just don't like the way my prints makes them look. Maybe it is time for a printer up grade!! :-) Anyway I love your card...beautiful take on this weeks layout.
Beautiful vintage feel. The flowers are gorgeous along with the sentiment.
