Police Car and Fire Truck

Lynn Pratt's  Stamp-n-Design Templates are the files I used to make these fun vehicle cards. Lynn has designed some amazing templates to be hand cut. She had some files converted to svg's so they card be re-sized and cut by machine, but you need to add the basic shape elements to size to complete the look.

Shaped cards are fun but it took me 4 hours to make the fire truck. I wasn't paying attention to the time when I made the police car, but no doubt that took hours too! Yet they are fun and the reaction when the recipient opens them is great.

It's important to use heavy weight card stock so they have some strength, especially around the windshield that has to be hand cut.

I love playing with the details, embossing the tires with squiggly lines, using glossy accents to create depth and shine, pop dots to
create dimension and acetate for the windshield.

I'm so thankful for Policemen and Firemen and the Military:

  2. Hi Carole! Fabulous creations. They are absolutely adorable. I love it when I am so involved in what I am making, that I forget to look at the clock. I have lost count of the times I think "Oh, I'll only card make for half hour, and 3 hours later I am still sitting in surrounded by my favourite crafty goodness. Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations
