Box Card Fun

I am having so much fun with these summer box cards from SVG Cuts. They really appeal to my love of depth and dimension, with so many places to add embellishments. Oh joy...sparkle on !

For the Carnival card I used water color paper and colored that with Spectrum Noir alcohol markers and lots of gold stickles. Can you see the little yellow duck and the banner? There's a place on the back to include a greeting and signature. I can't wait to do this one again.

The sentiment "Happy"was in my stash and I just added stickles to "birthday" and attached it to acetate to fold flat.

For the birthday balloon box card I used some die cuts from my stash...birthday presents and balloons as well the the gift box topped with a bow. And see how it all folds flat...so cool.

This is the picnic basket box card from the summer box card collection at SVGCuts. I couldn't wait to start this one. I think Mary's projects are fabulous, she really knows how to pick the papers that complete her designs. Loved the red checked triangle table linen but I don't have any so working with scraps and stashed. I'm learning as I go.

So after practicing on the first 3 I wanted a do over for the picnic basket...I took some time to choose the papers. I decided to reinforce the arches and pay special attention when adding the elements to ensure it folds flat.

That's it for now... I want to play some more before I make dinner.
So thanks for stopping. I'd love to hear what you think and return the visit, if you are kind enough to leave a comment.

Be well ~ Carole

  4. Carole, I knew this box card technique that is all the rage would be right up your alley! These are SO awesome and detailed and fun!! It appeals to the little girl who either played with paper dolls/doll houses and or the little girl who DIDN'T, huh? I used to love doing that so I am staying away from these for now. I've too many things on the "to try" list ahead of it and I have a feeling I would become totally addicted once I made one. I'll leave that for you and delight in all the creative ways you make them!! Hugs, Darnell

    1. I did indeed play with paper dolls. Do you remember when Moms gave their daughters home perm's? I think the product was called Toni??? anyway the kit had paper dolls to cut out and play with while the chemical curled your hair. It must have been permanent cause my hair's still curly...and I still play with paper cut outs. heehee
