This card for Rylee Graces' First Holy Communion.
I started by trimming, then embossing the top layer. The chalice is clip art, printed and double cut for dimension, then a layer of glossy accents added. The wheat is stamped with versa mark then heat embossed in gold, and trimmed. The grapes were fun. I used a 1/4" hole punch and punched loads of purple circles, the using a ball stylus and a small square of foam I shaped the circles into little half balls, then layered them on a mound of glossy accents. After that dried... more grapes where added, and covered in a drop of glossy accents. Pretty cool. Right?
The Woman's Club of Royersford will host our last luncheon until the September meeting. We end the season with a Festival of the Arts. S-F High School students submit stories, poems, mixed media and art to be considered by a panel, for a ribbon and a cash award. Parents and students attend to accept the awards. The stories and poems are read and all the art is displayed on easels around the room. I art work is AMAZING. Jaw dropping amazing.
The luncheon will wrap up this season by installing new officers. I will conduct the ceremony for the newly elected board so I need to prepare for an installment ceremony...and some props.
I'm working on a 9 piece puzzle measuring about 9.5" X 11.50". I'll be offering each new officers a piece of the puzzle while explaining their duties and the importance of everyone working together to complete the puzzle. After they have excepted their responsibilities. they are asked to place their puzzle piece to complete picture. I will congratulate each of them and present them with their own puzzle symbolizing their duties. The outgoing president will be presented a pretty card...made by you'res truly...with a gift card to Boscov's (a department store... for those in the UK that might not have heard of it.) Why do I always volunteer? I wonder... 'cause I want to help? cause I want to play? cause some one has to do it? or for the recognition....maybe that too. However I'm looking forward to a summer without any commitments to projects.
Thanks again...be well Carole
Next up two completed white on white cards with an inlay-ed sparkly oval. Doing monochromatic cards is all about the quality of the paper and the cut....depth and dimension adds much interest and value. A sentiment can be added as needed...birthday, wedding, anniversary or thank you.
I love dogwood trees , both pink and white...
and they are in full bloom here on the east coast.
Last card up seems almost elementary. Basic & primary.
The emboss blue layer ??? I'm not sure it works.
oh well ....
Now I'm going to journal about other things I'm doing, so feel free to scroll to the end and leave a comment or a question.
I'll be happy to return the visit...and thanks ever so much for doing that.
Wishing you a "Happy Mother's Day" We all have a Mother and so we honor all Mothers.

Wow!!! That first card especially is a work of art. Love the simplicity of the second card. The splashes of color in the third card makes it pop. Ecellent.
