Inspired by Birgit and Ann

Looking for inspiration from my Pinterest boards I found this by Birgit. Gorgeous... right, but not so easy to reproduce. I tried several attempts and though they're close... mine don't match her talent. I didn't have a punch or die cut to match the petals...so I cut them free style, and though I studied her layout and positioning I still got it wrong. Oh well...try try again.

My second attempt I used my cricut and the SCAL library to create petals but they appear to big and round, but I do like the chocolate background.

Next up is a St. Patty's Day card by Ann's Creative Moments I enjoyed creating the flowers using a standard punch and watercolor paper, then trimming the petals apart and coloring them with a lavender watercolor pencil.

For the base I used my score board to create the diagonal lines to create some dimension. Pictured here with the punch...similar but with my own touch. I really liked the way the flowers turned out...so I made a few more. The second one I cut smaller hearts and used to flowers and a bud on a dotted Swiss embossed background. I put a large dot of glue in the center of each blossom and covered it with Styrofoam shavings that I colored with a few drops of ink.

I'm happy to get back to playing and creating...Thanks for your visit. I'd love to hear what you have to say or  answer any questions. Be well and craft on! ~ Carole
