The Play Date Cafe

The Play Date Cafe challenge # 107 . Create anything you's like with black white and a splash of orange. Wow I am totally inspired especially because their sponsor is: Scrapping Cottage. I've got to tell you I was delighted to find this sponsor. I had no idea that their was another company offering the cutest dies ever. If you haven't already heard of them you've got to check them out. I already have a wish list a mile long. Any way back to the challenge.
I love this color combination. It speaks to me of drama and all that jazz. So I knew I wanted to create a jazzy card...with a splash of orange.  A splash- reminds me of a cocktail. Well now your talking...Here's what I created.
The keyboard is from Printable Heaven. Black paper cut to resemble a grand piano. The sentiment-"Celebrate in style"  is from Gina K, stamped with frosted crystal    "Antiquities" stamp pad by ranger. The music note is a sizzix cut, (I wish it was a bit smaller). My cricut is broken so I had to cut the martini glass by hand (three cuts for depth) using orange glitter card stock. I hand printed "Jazz Cafe" using a silver gel pen. I am so delighted with the result. What do you think?
This challenge really lit me up. Does that ever happen to you? To be so excited about creating a card that speaks to you. This reminds me of a play bill. Just having fun and all that jazz. Craft on.... Be well Carole

  1. WOW! Jazz Cafe looks like a place that I'd like to go with ya'll. The card has great balance and visual impact. The splash of color - so zesty. Henny Youngman said, "When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading." Reading THIS card is FUN!
