Jennifer Brum is hosting this week and her card is fabulous...in fact the entire design team has created the most delightful cards using this sketch. The sketch is the link, so go ahead take a look, then tell us what inspired you and show us what you created.
Here's my creation:
I had to lay the card flat to take the photo...when standing the shiny gold die cuts reflected the light and lost the details. Either way...it looks better in RL. I like the crisp navy stripes against the white, add the gold and you have a nautical feel. I just might create another card for this fun sketch, with all snow we have I won't be going anywhere...except to go out and beat around the bushes...
I might knock off enough snow to save them. Can you see how deep it is? More to come tonight and Saturday. I give thanks for electricity...power to the people...thank you.
It really is beautiful. Mother Nature full force. Respectfully appreciative. Thanks for visiting.
Be well my friend and stay safe and warm. ~ Carole

ReplyDeleteGreat card And I commend you on such a terrific job following the sketch. Light can be trouble for shiny. Yup... I sure can see the depth of your xnow
ReplyDeleteThis is such a handsome card, Carole! Reminds me of the military with all those gold 'badges' and stripes.
ReplyDeleteWhoa, that snow looks really deep! It sure is beautiful. We got 10" yesterday, but it's melting a bit today. :) I love it.
Thanks so much for leaving love at my place recently, and Happy Valentine's Day!
Carole this is a wonderful card and you did capture the shine. Oh my gosh you have tons of snow. Shake the snow off the tree to save it… news to me but I don't deal with snow. Beautiful picture.
ReplyDeleteThis card is fabulous! LOVE the colours you've used and those fabulous stars! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!
