Silhouettes I love silhouettes

Silhouettes...the positive negative balance..I just love them. And I love this plaid. I buy 12 X 12 papers and cut them down to 6" squares then the strips and pieces are inserted into clear bags.

I love how the weeds look... white heat embossed...so crisp. However I hand to cover the smeared embossing at the bottom so a cluster of white flowers covers it nicely. I'll leave it without sentiment for now.

I've been playing with this set of stamps I bought at Michaels with my 50% coupon. Silhouetted weeds, I've been looking for something like this for quite some time. I will add a sympathy sentiment to this card. After heat embossing the image, I attached a torn and tattered piece of cheese cloth, then punched some scalloped circles to shape the flower, punched the leaves and glue dotted it to the corner. I rolled a strip of black card stock through the crimper and rolled up the edges. I finished by layering the image and floral  onto the water droplets background. I think it evokes sincere empathy.

I fell in love with water drop stamps the first time I saw Darnell use them here.
I've waited till I saw them again and then I just had to order one.  Designs By Ryn
Water dropkets is  the one I chose and had to use it before another minute went by.

I liked the ragged edges of the test card... so I smeared some ink around the edges and used it for the base. You can image the surface of my covered in chaos. This is when I started playing with cheese cloth. I have more....but that's all for now.

Be well~ Carole
