I saw the reminder for this last night and it must have stayed on my mind. Because this morning....0000 dark hours...I woke up and figured I wasn't going back to sleep so I would come in my room and play...quietly.
This first card is what I had in mind as soon as I saw the clue "SILHOUETTE" Black and white so crisp and sophisticated. I stamped and heat embossed the"Queen Ann's Lace" then fussy cut some curves around the image to soften the bold graphics.
Next up some golden straw heads on a pale straw background.
With the silhouette song playing in my head...I began looking through my 12X12 papers looking for some Halloween Papers I remembered seeing recently.
Barbara... a very mufti-talented artist, offered a prize for responding to a survey she developed, pondering questions about blogs. Short story I won! I was the winner of a delightful assortment of papers and things. I won in January 2012 and every time I come across a scrap or remember a paper or see the ribbons...I feel like a winner again.
Now right click here and open it in a new tab so you can go see the wonderful character dolls and things that Barbara makes.
Up next two haunted house cards as silhouettes. The first cob-webbie back ground paper was among the papers I won so that's why the winner re-play. Pictures here
After attaching the haunted house I added the cheese-cloth to mimic cob webs...I think that is ridiculously fun. Then I was playing with the velum overlay...not wanting the adhesive to show I scored all around the velum ...then wrapped the entire card and used my adhesive runner on the back....more fun cause now it looks spookier...est. Kind of frightfully foggy...don't you think? I'm thinking of caldrons bats and bones now! Evil laugh....hahahahahahaa
When I was looking through my papers this glittery green sparkled so eerily obnoxious, it screamed vicious vapors. I don't mind waking up so early when I'm having this much fun.
Talk about fun...wouldn't it be great fun to win the discount prize at

You have been busy, Carole ... just left a comment on your solo haunted house post! These are lovely ... crisp black and white is alway so classic and the gold is warm and gentle ... fabulous!
ReplyDeleteWhat fabulous cards, love them all. Thank you so much for joining us this week at CASology
ReplyDeleteGoodness...I didn't comment on all the cards....still early in the morning. I got rid of most of my rubber stamps, but kept some for the very reason you used them in your cards...it's nice to return to the beginning with the heat embossing. AGain, ideas for future cards that you have remind me about.
