There are times when just a word can spark creative thinking...APPLE did just that.
And then to read that the sponsor "Cindy" is offering the chance to win two fabulous prizes from My Favorite Things, who wouldn't want to play along?

My APPLE card started out with a white card base...but when I stamped the
sentiment it was crocked. I cut the card down to layer on the kraft card
base, flipped it over and stamped the sentiment straight.
I started with the bigger red apple then I remembered I had a little apple punch. How fun I punched and glued the little green apples to a ring...then I colored in the details and highlights. I played around with the design until I was satisfied. I pondered on the sentiment until I came across this one from Gina K at Stamp TV...It was perfect for the design. The burlap square was an after thought and it complimented the kraft card stock. I coated the apples with glossy accents for the added dimension and shine.
Clean and Simple cards are especially challenging for me, I always want to add more embellishments or I mess up with smears or glue and have to cover it up. I'm happy to try and hopefully develop my skills with practice. Be sure to visit and view the wonderful cards created by the design team at CAS-ology.
Thanks for visiting...
Be well and craft on!~ Carole

ReplyDeleteThis really is a super fun design for the apple challenge, Carole! It is very striking with the Red Delicious framed by the Granny Smiths!! And the burlap? I'm a sucker for burlap on a card!!
ReplyDeleteLove your card and the extra touch of the burlap material; however, your story of the this creation was even more fascinating....haha You started off immediately telling us a boo boo....which should be a no no....haha No, really, I understand, sometimes a project is all about how you got to the end, not the end product. I could see your mind spinning the whole time you were working on it as you wrote about this darling creation!
ReplyDeleteCarol, I love the "process" you went thought with your card...sometimes we just have to roll with it and in the end it is so worth it! This card is a perfect example of that...the sentiment, the apples, the burlap...all wonderfully arranged! So glad you joined us at CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteLove the red apple nestled in the green ones and the burlap gives it so much texture! Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!
ReplyDeleteTo my mind, design is very important for the house of any type. That is the reason why tols like https://planner5d.com/use/office-floor-plan are very effective to complete this process. And to work from this point of view.
