Moxie Fab World: 75 Creative Challenges

I love that Moxie Fab World offers so many challenges
and....lots of time to get it done.

Make an itty bitty card challenge  #23  has been on my mind from the start. I had some stamped mittens layered then cut out - left among holiday embellishments and I simply added them to a 3" square card base and printed warm wishes.
Well ....that was just too simple. Not worthy of the completion.

I can't be that easy...let's add some layers, and burlap.
Weave some 1/4" strips, then cut a heart shape.

Add some charming chicks, bitty hearts and flowers....
finish it off with some love. Sweet!

I had to buy this adorable little teddy bear with the roses on her hat after seeing this card:

I've see many of my blogging buddies using images from: Bugaboo Digi Stamps  and I've resisted as long as I could. It's certainly isn't a huge expense and it's fun to make the images different sizes.
My concern was the my ink jet printer smears when using markers. After looking through the FAQ... I now seal the images with clear acrylic sealer to prevent smearing.
I've been coloring and cutting out and feeling like a kid.

While I practice coloring with markers and then colored pencils, I programmed my cricut to cut the elements I wanted to recreate this step card:

I knew as soon as it was finished I would want to replicate it using my own cut files instead of the stickers used on this one. I started cutting the little camper. First I cut it from mirror card stock including all the elements, then cut a shadow outline to back the separate pieces.

After assembling 2 silver campers...  I was looking through my scraps  and found the sweet baby pink scraps from the sizzix's  big shot packaging. I immediately pictured a girly step card using a baby pink camper. I love recycling packaging especially the heavy weight glossy colored card stock. The quality shows and I love to use a big round stylus to emboss the edges- rounding out the cut. Little details make a difference.

Next I will make files for the fish and the fishing pole as well as little evergreen trees, the camp fire. I love the fishing hat but I will need create the hooks with wire.

I'm going to leave you with that, I hope it will encourage you to stop back and see how these elements are used on a card. I can't wait to see myself. Haha!

Have a Happy Super Bowl Sunday! Be well my friend and thanks for your time. ~ Carole
