CAS-UAL FRIDAYS: Thank You

Happy New Year my fellow bloggers. It's time to get back to playing with challenges.

Time to create a clean and simple thank you card. A brand new sponsor:

This week's challenge winner will not only join the team next month as their guest,
but will also win a...   $25.00 store certificate.
This is a simple white on white layered and embossed outlined card using stickers.
Talk about simple and fast. I had to do another one.

The next one is also layered and outlined embossed. What's difficult to see is a rectangle with 1/8 inch scored lines. The rose is fussy cut and popped up with dimensional squares, finished with a dragon fly and thank you stickers.

Up next I used pearly white paper with some table confetti flowers glued together then dotted with glitter glue. The flourish by MFT is getting a lot of use.

Using the same table confetti flowers layered on fussy cut green leaves, tiny pearl centers and the flourish cut and attaches separately.

All 5 cards came together so easily it feels like I'm cheating. Can it be too easy? It probably has more to do with the availability of so many wonderful products, tools and supplies. Or maybe I try to make things more complicated then they are. I'm always looking for the lesson.

The rest is personal chatter feel free to scroll on past and leave a comment.

On a more personal note:
My Uncle died on Christmas day. Party schedules were revised and the family improvised, some traveling from SC, NJ and Maryland. A masonic service was held prior to the funeral service on Saturday December 29th.

Uncle Don was well known, loved and respected. He served many roles in his 85 years on this earth, and helped and sponsored many organizations, friends and family.  Over 280 people signed the guest book.  It started snowing around 10 AM.

Following the church service a catered luncheon was held in the reception hall. It continued snowing rapidly accumulating 5 inches of fluffy snow. Every one was fed and cousins introduced their children and grandchildren to each other.  Perfect time to invite every one to our home. My brother and his wife live in Maryland, so we invited them to stay the night rather then driving in all that snow. No matter what the occasion... it's always wonderful to celebrate family.

  3. You were really on a creative roll, Carole, making your lovely cards! I love it when that happens.

I'm really sorry to hear about your Uncle Don. It sounds like he lived a long and well-lived life. He would have been delighted that so many were there and that the family was all together!
