MoJo Monday 253

First Monday of the month CONTEST WEEK. Wahoo!!!  The Prizes: One winner for every 50 entries, up to a max of 7 winners!!! Winners will receive the Verve Stamps set of their choice. Good golly I would so love to win a Verve Stamp set, I could spend hours just trying to make my choice.

The skewed panel sketch was designed by Julee. Check out the design teams examples for inspiration then go back and play along.

I'm so excited to post my card it feels like a winner. Looking at the sketch and my limited stamp collection I decided to do a nautical themed birthday card for a boat loving man. I had this nautical blue striped paper from a previously posted card and that was the trigger.

I layered it on top of navy for the base card, added the white based navy rectangle, edged with a quilters wheel. Next the navy based red square, also edged with faux stitches. A navy SB scalloped circle backs the stamped birthday focal.

I have a ball of vintage looking crochet tread that I found at a thrift store that was perfect for a rope like knot - instead of a bow. Love it! What do you think??? Is it a winner? Win or not I had fun.

P.S. I'm aware that many blogger list all the supplies and tools they used but I don't. (That's work-I want to play) If you have any questions about the products I use please leave an inquiry in the comment section and I'll be happy to respond.
