Some quick and simple cards

Greetings my friends.
I hope you had a Happy Mother's Day. Today I posting 4 cards all pretty simple and easy to make once you choose your papers.

I love this Graphic 45 Romantique paper so feminine, so easy to create a simply stunning card. I will use every little scrap of this paper. The SB oval die is embossed with a SU folder. It's not the same size but I made it work.
One of my most used tools is the MS score board - used here to create the vertical embossed lines.

Next up is a recreated card I first saw on Pinterest. Damask Love is the blog for this amazing talented Dr. and artist. Be sure to check her site for inspiring ideas. Like Dr. Amber I used 18 gauge wire to make the hanger but I attached mine to a brad. The hardest part was picking the papers for the ties. I must have cut 15 different ties, but this is the combination I liked best. I used a quilter's wheel to create the stitch like line then went back and marked each dot. I like details.

The third card is using the scraps from the Romantique paper. Again I was recreating a card I pinned. This one is from ikki'c cuttlebug cupboard.
That's another blog worth looking at, offering tips and techniques for the cuttlebug. Her card was posted in January 2011. Dramatically simple.

I love Pinterest, and once your card is pinned it could continue to show up for years. Here again I used MS score board to outline the squares and for the vertical embossed lines. The ivory card stock compliments the soft colors.

The fourth card is poster like image that I enhanced with gold metallic gel pen and Glossy Accents on the flowers and butterfly. I added the lace and ribbon for added dimension and interest then mounted that layer over a card I started and messed up the stamped image. So I had to recycle it, right?

Well that's it for today. I will visit the blogs that inspired these cards and let them know I linked there posts for acknowledgment. Thanks to all the creative bloggers that share their art.

  1. Hi Carole, thanks for visiting the Cupboard and I appreciate your encouraging comments and linking your post, but I've not heard of Pinterest so I don't know how I got there!?!?! All your cards are lovely! ikki
