CAS-UAL FRIDAYS Long and Short

CFC86  So many of my blogging buddies enter this challenge...that explains why for the last few days  I've seen loads of "long and short cards". Something clicked when I came across these pencils. I left one long and cut one  very short - thinking in long and short terms. "Right On!" was a catch phrase in the 60"s...like "groovy" and "peace" so it's no stretch to write "write on" with pencils.  Can you dig it? That's the long and short of it.

Up next is a camper card I created to acknowledge my sister and BIL's  anniversary. These 2 have been together for 46 years, they built an  amazing log cabin in the hills of Maryland, then they moved to Hawaii. Paradise has a price and after enjoying all that was offered being near the grand-kids was the highest priority. Back state side they continue their wanderlust and joy of fishing and camping by hauling a camper were ever they wish to go. A map of Ireland represents our heritage, the beginning. Life is a highway...representing all the roads traveled ...lessons learned and the commitment to traveling life's highway together. A truly devoted couple. I think this is a representation of their marriage. My sister Kit  probably doesn't follow my blog on a regular basis...but if you see this Kit...sorry to ruin the surprise for you. Don't you just love the handkerchief curtains?

The camper svg file was free - at Bea Original  Thanks so much.
I will go ahead and publish this so that I post it to CAS-UAL FRIDAY's challenge.
Thanks so much for stopping by...let me know and I will return the visit.
Be well and craft on. ~ Carole

  1. What a groovy idea regarding the pencils....love love it. The camper, what a wonderful, heart felt documentary of their lives...wow....makes my life a little boring. Even my ancestory line is boring, but I have to admire and thank those people who sacrificed soooo much to get to American and endure such hardships...my family has been here since the early 1800's. I need to go find that darling camper.
