Spy Sketches:ISSC26

   ISSC26 with Therese Calvird

I found another challenge with a terrific sketch, so I'm gonna play. I hope to return to this sight and check out and comment on all the designers blogs. They have showcased an amazing assortment of cards to inspire you. Don't you just love this sketch? You should pop on over and join the fun.

I went to    our local craft store with my 50% off coupon and wandered around looking for something to motivate me.  I saw some beautiful white butterflies with little rhinestones by MS nicely packaged for $4.99 so I picked them up and kept looking then I saw a package of butterfly stamps by MS, for $6.99. This was a collection of 9 various size doily lace butterflies. Well I could make my own white butterflies and as many as I want for $3.50. Hoot and holler I'm happy.

I came home and stamped a few of the butterflies with Versa mark on velum paper. I used white embossing powder and heat embossed them. Sweet! I just need to be more mindful - use the static pad first and then apply even pressure to get good results.Even better the second time.

I love to cut things out and the little antenna were a bit tedious but I have 3 of the cutest white butterflies to play with. You can see I added my own tiny rhinestones.

I started with a white card base, cut a 2" navy blue strip and played around until I came up with this finished design. I dry embossed the first layer, adhered the navy strip topped with a Swiss dots embossed white strip with the delightful BF's attached with dimensional dots. The silver sticker "celebrate" is added to a strip of navy with rounded corners. I repeated the rounded corners on the right to complete the card. I rather like it. What do you think?
