CASology Fruit

When the third week clue was announced I couldn't think of a thing. I don't have many stamps and none of fruit, so I let it go. Then today I was working with this lime green and I got a reminder email from CASology and the pear idea was born. Sometimes it's better to just let the thought develop, not to force  creativity.

I knew I could draw a pair of pears, (that's sew puny) and I had some nice lime green floral paper too!  I could create a CAS card. So I drew, shaded and cut out the pears. Inked the edges, cut tiny slits to insert the stem, then attached them with dimensional dots.

I printed the sentiment in a word  text box - using "peach sundress" font, then added a patterned polka dotted background. Cute. I cut it out inked the edges and added some tape. All done.  I took the photo of my card and then looked at the other entries...lots pears. Oh's done and it is original...cause I drew it. And that's the truth ~

This was fun and simple

  2. Beautiful pears! Beautiful card! Thanks for visiting my blog. You asked about how I made the card. I stamped the fruit on colored paper and then inked the edges for shading using distress inks. For the pineapple, I added shading/lines with marker.

  3. Wow! Hand drawn! You're a REAL artist! I love that even your font ties into the fruit theme and I'm glad that you've played along with CASology this week. You're right about letting ideas develop- this was worth waiting for!
