Whimsical Designs is hosting a Thanksgiving Themed project and I couldn't wait to play along. You may have noticed that many of my card project don't include stamped images. This is because I don't have a large collection of stamps. That's why I love challenges that have sponsors the offer stamps to the winners.
After four challenges Whimsical Designs combines all the names from the challenges and one random winner will have the chance to win their choice of $20.00 in Stampin' Up supplies. I already have a wish list compiled for their stamps. So I'm hoping for some luck with this drawing.
My card is pretty simple starting with craft paper as the base. The wreath was made using oak and maple punches with various autumn colors. Then I added the 1/4" strips. The Happy Thanksgiving sentiment was printed on acetate with the mirror image on, then I rubbed in on the card. It's a trick I learned to replace stamped sentiments I don't have. On the inside I added a dark brown strip and glued on 5 of the leaves. I don't think the glue was even dried when I took the photo. It's simply bright and colorful.
Thanks for visiting. Be well and craft on ;)

This is so beautiful! I love how you positioned the leaves so they're all pointing outward, as opposed to 'chasing' each other.. it looks gorgeous. So clever with your sentiment! A wonderful way to improvise. Good luck with the drawing! Thank you for playing along with us at Whimsical Wednesday! :o)
