My Signature Style

Signature Style: This was the best blog hop ever. Filled with talented Muses and Design Team Alumni and the current Design Team members showing their personal style. And there are Prizes!!! Differently worth looking into. Come join the fun.

It's sometimes challenging to find the appropriate comment and not just say the same thing again and again...but not with this hop. Each of the blogs have exceptional personal style, so it's fun to comment on that, and as I hopped about I realized that I too have a signature style.

I've been making cards for a little over a year now, and I can see that I've evolved and improved thanks to the amazing challenges available, and viewing the incredible bloggers examples. I know I struggle with images and sentiments because I have so few stamps. I rely on cut files and punches.  Having said that here's a example of my signature style.
I love white on white - deeply embossed for texture - die cuts for interest - flowers and butterflies or bows to complete. Oh yea... and a sentiment. I rely on the silver or gold sticker sentiments for formal cards. I'm learning to stamp sentiments, but I'm still afraid of wrecking an almost completed card so I rarely stamp directly on a card. For most sentiments I use the computer or a stencil.

I've gotten some really terrific sentiment stamps after asking for advise. It's always what I don't know that can prove costly.

Well thanks for visiting, and do take a few minutes to check out this spectacular blog hop.

  2. Oh Carole what a gorgeous card. So beautiful. You know I love white on white too! *smile* I rarely stamp right on the card too... way to scary. When I do and it actually turns out I feel so lucky. Love your blog and your creations are all fabulous. Hugs,
